December 27, 2017 - This was much better than the last bottle. Dark fruits with some spice in mid palate and mild tannin on finish. Full body and still fresh. Nicely balanced.

December 29, 2014 - Better than the last bottle. Aerated and decanted, showed a full body with dark fruits. Muted at the outset but opens up in the middle palate and on the finish. Some earthy aspects but not prominent and tobacco. Fares better with food.

January 8, 2014 - This is a very different bottle from the last one I had a year ago. Aerated and decanted, but the funky pungent soil taste never went away even after a couple of hours. No fruit to speak of, mostly spoiled tobacco notes, somewhat full bodied and smooth with a hot, acidic and dry finish. Drinkable, but not enjoyable. Will see what day two brings, since it was better the last time.
