April 13, 2013 - Beaujolais & Bourgogne (The Wine Country, Signal Hill, CA): Nose not giving up much - very tight. Lean and acidic, especially for a 2009 vintage. Strong tannins. Nice enough table wine, but lacks depth and is poor value at $25.

October 6, 2012 - Affordable Red Burgundy (The Wine Country, Signal Hill, CA): $24.99. Very tight nose. Austere and earthy but with a very soft mouthfeel. Ok, but lacked depth and seemed watery.

March 26, 2012 - Really opened up after a couple hours into an alluring strawberry and cherry profile. Very puckered and slightly austere at first. If I had more, I'd age them a couple years.
