June 24, 2022 - Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault): Small glass. Dense black fruit, maturing slowly, more structure than fruit at this point.

March 25, 2022 - Wonderfully engaging nose of sandalwood, rose petal, smoked meats and red and black fruits. It is succulent and spicy in the mouth, with sensual velvet texture and great underlying structure. Balance is perfect and length expansive and oh so long. Brilliant!

August 28, 2021 - This wine divided experienced Burgundy tasters with the score shown being the low end. A couple of us expected more fruit or top notes of some kind, although there are lots of dried cherries married with fall aromas. Others thought it was a good example of Chambertin. Lots of depth on the mid-palate and better than average length along with some fireplace ashes and plenty of funk. Drink yesterday.

October 9, 2020 - A fantastic vintage that is complex, very well balanced, tannins are moving towards being velvety by texture with a long, lingering finish. Layers of riped cherries, cooked fruits, roasted meats, truffles and umami. I love this wine through and through.

July 16, 2020 - In a good spot. Mature but not going anywhere. Full on spice box
