December 8, 2021 - 1/1. Medium/deep ruby/garnet core, pale garnet rim. Quite youthful, fruity with blackberries, smoke a da touch of tar. Medium/full bodied, dark fruited, smoke, tar, quite rich fruit over firmish underlying tannins, decent length finish. Excellent village Savigny, fulsome and enjoyable. No particular hurry either.

April 5, 2015 - Black raspberry and sandalwood on the nose, gorgeous, lush fruit in the mouth, medium finish. Excellent wine for the price! Still showing its youth, good structure, and many years ahead of it.

April 6, 2014 - Beginning to develop some complexity and a nice nose, but still pretty young. Has some distinct grip to it so I'm still thinking it will evolve over time in something even better. I do like it now though so I'm going to have to work at it to keep my hands off it! It definitely delivers at a level above its "village" designation.

October 7, 2012 - Young and still settling down. Classic 09 with a full body and gobs of fruit but I worry this doesn't have enough length to make it better from here. Tannins and fruit will settle down from here but leaving what?
