  June 27, 2010 - This was an early Garagiste purchase - from back in the day they had a catalog. Deep purple and a bit cloudy, this was a high acid and fruit-driven package. The nose was ripe black fruits, with a touch of smoky wood and bacon. On the palate, mouth-coating raspberry and spice, and a mid-length finish. A great accompaniment to some Costco Copper River sockeye on the grill, and plenty of life left. An Oregon pinot built to age. Very nice.

  February 11, 2006 - I fine tasting wine, lots of fruit, not quite the finish I'd like and a little bit short on the underlying structure. Nonetheless, a good wine.

  March 6, 2004 - Very smooth and easy to drink. Smoky nose with subdued boisenberry fruit gives way to velvet mouthfeel with a hint of minerality. Moderate finish.

  December 5, 2002 - Good fruit on nose with some awkward oak elements. Fruit comes across as hidden or dormant on the palate, it's hard to see how they will really emerge from behind today's structure. If I owned any of these, I'd hold them at least 3 or 4 years and cross my fingers.
