February 18, 2019 - The nose on this is black cherry and coffee. This is a very full bodied black fruited pinot. The palate comes on with concentrated fruit of black cherry, earth and olives. There is not much subtlety here today. More of a pinot for cab lovers. Like a red corton is burgundy in a hot year. May evolve and get better over time.

October 7, 2018 - This has aged quite well and better than othe recent Paul Hobbs pinots I have recently had. Pretty nose of red fruit and licorice with a big structure palate that remains quite well balanced with concentrated flavors of Pinot red and black fruit, new saddle leather and earth

July 12, 2018 - A little closed down on the nose. Black cherry primary fruit. Overall balanced but not giving particularly memorable flavors at this time.
