December 26, 2011 - Floral nose with some anise, palate smooth and medium long with dark berry, sour cherry, with some mocha. Very enjoyable with or without food.

August 23, 2011 - Double decanted about an hour before serving. Rush of casis, dark plums, cedar and a hint of volatility on the nose. Initial flavors not as full as expected, mostly plum, moderate tanins, acidity and reasonable length. With alcohol at 13.5% I would not expect it to be noticeable, but there is slight alcohol in the nose and finish. Unless it improves throughout the evening, not a wine I am likely to buy or stock.
