  September 3, 2014 - Still going strong in 2014. I agree that it's not subtle or particularly complex. But there are some nice cassis, cedar, and olive notes in the aroma, with cassis and spice on the palate, combined with a juicy texture and fairly well-balanced tannins and acidity. Excellent QPR, especially for a Cabernet. And it was delicious with top sirloin.

  June 28, 2011 - Not a complex wine, but bold enough to impress at its price point. There are notes of mocha and dark berry still inhibited by some firm tannins. I would store this at least another year in the cellar, and then give it a couple of hours in the decanter before serving. Should pair well with simple red meat dishes.
