March 7, 2020 - Very nice to drink now, but still a few years of life ahead. Raspberry, plum and earthy aromas, polished tannins and a balancing acidity make this a nicely drinkable wine right now.

November 25, 2011 - The entry level wine of the Mas Doix estate (second vintage) with a varietal composition of 80 % Garnatxa, 10 % Carinyena and 10 % Syrah, aged for 10 months in French barriques. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Concentrated ruby-red in color and a lush bouquet of blue and red berry fruit, cedar, clove and a hint of oak. The palate shows an already accessible wine, with dense concentrated black fruit, Mediterranean herbs, quite smooth tannins, but the alcohol is a bit too dominant at present. Good finish with a touch of heat at the end. An agreeable, well-made wine but it lacks a bit the punch of the previous vintage. Drink it now through 2015.

October 29, 2011 - Nice ruby red, nose of red fruits, vanilla and oak. Nice flavors of red fruits with medium body with a nice balance of acidity and tannins. Nice short-medium finish. Good QPR.

September 30, 2011 - Medium bodied, deep core with vivid edging and transparent rim. The nose leaps from the glass, lots of vanilla and spice, plum pudding and custard !
Fully ripe fruit gives this a lovely sweet palate, the tannins are fine grained, the finish is focussed through the centre of the palate and long, decent acidity, satisfying, but give this an hour decanted first
