January 8, 2023 - Last bottle and the best. Mature but bright fruit shining through. A little rustic but perfect on a grey January night with cauliflower risotto. Less angular than before.

May 27, 2020 - Found three bottles mixed in a case of Barolo. No recollection of buying it and reading tasting notes was not anticipating a lot. I was wrong. Mature Sangiovese on nose loads of complexity. Even better on palate with crunchy ripe fruit and understated power. Balanced long finish. Excellent with pasta. Last quarter bottle was still good the next day.

October 20, 2013 - This is drinking beautifully. An opulent nose of dark cherries, a touch of ripe plum, rich old leather, a touch of smoke and earth/minerals. Wonderfully balanced and seductive. Tanins are rich, sweet and well integrated, and plentiful enough to think this wine can age for a while yet. Acidity is adequate and this is more of a savoury, brooding palate rather than on the fresh and lively end of the spectrum. Lovely wine.
