September 14, 2017 - Excellent. It's reduced so you have to deal with that. Once in clears great fruit, balanced, rich and ready to drink but no rush. Wonderful inexpensive, estate bottled Rufina. This is not an anomaly as they make good, authentic, age worthy sangiovese worth trying every vintage. Vintage quality doesn't alway track with Classico so keep an open mind.

March 18, 2016 - PnVnD. Consistent with previous notes. Still amazingly fresh and vibrant. One of the all time great buys.

January 24, 2016 - Famously! What a blinding revelation! Absolutely ready to drink. Dark brick red in color, beautiful stained glass windows on the glass. Naturtrüb because without the radical filtration. In the fragrance opulent fruit flavors, full blackberry jam, little wood and good taste of forest earth. All this continues in the taste. Pure fruit purees with sweetness. Later, Violet. With a light and refreshing acidity, tannins barely, vanilla from the oak barrels. In the body ideal: Not broad overwhelming, but not too lean, wonderfully balanced and finely in the flavors. Persistent aftertaste. A typical Chianti with strong taste of Sangiove and a typical Rufina with slight earthiness. A perfect wine from a great vintage of a wise winemaker at a favorable price. Quick buy, what is still available.

Famos! Welch´eine blendende Offenbarung! Absolut trinkreif.

January 25, 2014 - Consistent with previous note. This is a very solid Chianti, and was an absolute steal at $10. I so wish I had bought more than 2. We tried the 2010 version but it is not as good. Off the Enomatic, we had this a couple of nights with pasta and it paired well (not surprising). Interestingly, it also paired really well tonight with a chicken pot pie, which I might not have expected. Very food friendly wine. If I could still get it locally for around $10, I would buy a case. Has plenty of time left.

November 7, 2013 - This was just outrageously good for the $12 I paid. Great sour cherry fruit, nicely balanced by acidity and minerality and just a bit of earth. Nice to drink on its own and very food friendly. A lot of Chianti Classico's at twice the price are not as good as this. Wish I had bought a lot more than just 2! Hope the '10 is as good.
