Despite the tightness, it offers up violets, smoked meat and mineral. Not quite as satisfying as some of the other Corans (such as the Allemand). Very little sediment. 13% alc. For the first day of R&RR with beef daube and other goodies such as incredible blue cheeses. Recommended.

  July 5, 2018 - Slightly flat, uninteresting nose. Lacks concentration in the mouth. Still quite grippy on the shortish finish. Drinkable enough, but could do with a bit more going on.

Heftier than the Chave St. Joe served along side it, and showing a much more international style than the Chave St. Joe also.   May 10, 2012 - The Jugged Hare, London. Very approachable now, excellent match with the roast we had. Balanced, fresh and rather long.
