February 23, 2023 - Discovered this last bottle unexpectedly from a long-ago purchase. I had been concerned it might be too far past its prime—and initially that seemed to be the case. Very little fruit evident, lots of tannin and acid, disjointed.

Three hours in the decanter and some slow consumption over another couple hours and this was lovely, rich, and balanced. Dark rich cherry, some elements of tar and other darker secondary flavors—with a bit (maybe a bit too much?) sweetness.

Especially for the price, would absolutely buy again.

January 7, 2019 - One of the best Toro wines I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Needs full day to open up. Layers of complexity, dark fruits, luscious mouth full with a great finish.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry. It tastes like cherry and plum. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

September 14, 2018 - Dense and dark fruit, plum, sweet vanilla spices, alcohol heat.
Unbalanced, dark bold fruits, low acidity with alcohol present.
    Somewhat overdone.
Needs much more time, but not sure it will emerge any better?

May 22, 2018 - Deep ruby with garnet hints. At the first sniff you can immediately feel its complexity and age: the black fruit are jammy, the red fruits are dried, there is raisin, coffee, dark chocolate, earth, tobacco, leather, meat, vanilla. The aftertaste is long and savory.

Really an interesting wine, not completely developed but really almost there (still 2-3 years?). Too bad for the lowish acidity and really warm alcohol, coupled with high soft tannins and soft body.
It is probably great on the glass, but quite overwhelming if you have one bottle to drink.

October 11, 2017 - enormt bra vin för pengarna men man måste hålla det nere i temperatur, annars blir det aningen platt och hettan kan ta över, fick upplevda det med denna flaska som konsumerades över lite längre tid.
