June 21, 2018 - Didn't get off to a good start as the cork split in half when uncorking. Ended up removing cork bit by bit, and having the last of the cork fall back into the bottle. Filtered wine into a decanter and things got a good deal better. Nice fruity Pinot, well balanced and not showing signs of "old age." Much cherry in the nose and on the palette. Paired well with grilled filet mignon. Good wine, but difficult to justify its hefty price tag.
