  September 17, 2020 - Nice, well balanced Rhone. The fruit was tame (a good thing) compared to other younger wines with big fruit bomb profiles, which I have had from the valley floor region of southern Rhone.

  January 20, 2018 - Medium purple. Bouquet licorice, rich prune, eucalyptus, distant mandarin. Raw silk on tongue. Touch of bitterness. Astringent. Muscle-bound yet with soft edges: a nice balance. Very pleasant, but not for the light of heart.

  April 9, 2015 - 4th place in Rhone tasting. This wine was hard to score; the nose was more like 93 than 89, the palate started off with big bold fruit with a good acid punch that would maybe hold a 90, but the mid-palate started to fall off and the finish took a rapid decent to harshness that is more consistent with an 87. So, overall an 89. After 3-4 hours the finish showed some softening, making it tempting to bring up the overall to 90. I must say that I could not get enough of the aromas wafting off of this wine. It is one of those colorful wines that you can't stop breathing in.
