  January 31, 2015 - Lovely dark blue fruits. Boysenberry and blueberry. Still lots of tannins. Needs air, or a few more years. Still very enjoyable now, but nor rush.

  November 24, 2013 - Drank with pork ribs. Still solidly tannic with pale fruit. A disappointment, but at least it was not the typical Jaffurs fruit bomb.

  August 22, 2013 - I find mourvedre so intriguing. Mainly a blending grape, it is interesting to see how it stands on its own. Earthy, deep spiced red fruit. Heavy tannins, but not out of balance. Black tea finish. Not a wine for the masses, but one that a wine geek will enjoy just for the experience of its purity.

  June 18, 2013 - Nose shows a bit of stemminess and perhaps some tart cherries as well. The front presents with richness but little fruit, acidity picks up mid palate and the tannins come in for the finish. Overall the package is incomplete as Mourvedres often are. Few do this varietal as well as Jaffurs so it's safe to assume this is as good as it gets.
