October 26, 2012 - This vintage of Risa requires a good decant. Definitely not nearly as well done as the 2009 product. A rougher, more tannic style. Seems a bit greener and earthier than the more balanced Risa 2009. It does improve in the decanter with air, but shows less than a smooth finish. Young, but very good.

October 20, 2012 - Pretty good sub $30 Napa Cab. Characteristic Cabernet aromas and flavors. Not big, and perhaps even slightly thin, but a fairly good effort. Straight forward, nothing fancy, but good red and black fruit flavors with a balanced tannic structure. Slightly above average finish. Not as good as the 2009 Risa but very good.
