  March 17, 2013 - It has been maybe a year since I last tasted this wine. It wasn't as fresh as I remember. The mixed berry taste that I liked so much has changed slightly to a more plum taste. The tannin was less, but so was the acid and freshness. Last year I rated this wine a 90, and today it was about an 88. Maybe it was just that one bottle. I have at least three more bottles left.

  January 29, 2012 - Dark, thick and a bit rubbery as straight mourvedre tends to be. Okay, but nothing exciting to me. This would be better in a blend.

  January 24, 2012 - The color is deep purple. This wine is made from the Monastrell grape. I have limited experience with this grape from Spain, but was favorably impressed by this wine. It has a youthful fresh berry character. It is medium bodied. It is rich and flavorful with a smooth finish. When I first opened this wine, the nose was strong and interesting. Later, I didn't notice the smell as much as when I first opened it. It was good enough to make me buy two more bottles.

  March 1, 2011 - Very fruit forward, almost over ripe. Taste a little hot and reminds me of an Aussie fruit bomb. Smooth though. Not bad for the cost. None of that old world funk.
