November 19, 2022 - Decanted an hour before dinner. Red berries and sour cherry with just a suggestion of earthiness. On the palate fresh, medium bodied, though quite dense with a long finish.

Quite different to the last bottle we had two years ago, hard to believe that it is the same wine, much more on the elegant Burgundian side now and still very youthful. Looking at this bottle, it should hold an another 12 years or even longer.

July 10, 2022 - Aromatic earthy chalky fruited nose..very nice nose
Cherry strawberry upfront hit with dirty earth notes..tannic acidity finishes strongly…. Quite a nice burgundy that feels surprisingly young for a 13 yo!!
This is every reason I prefer burgs to US Pinot…

August 10, 2021 - With airtime, and after warming up a bit from cellar temperature…
Rich dark-fruited pleasure in the glass. Salty-graphite, earthy, rustic and tasty.
    Profound and subtle? Nah.
Easy layered pleasure? Yes, yes, yes!

January 26, 2021 - My first red Burgundy tasted , since the Ruchottes- Chambertain 1992 ( Remoissenet) from 2 years ago.
On nose: ferns , damp Autumn leaves and a note of mocha.
On palate: all of the above notes ,in addition to present tannins, lively acidity ....and after a two hour decant, a complex medley of licorice, cranberry, brick dust , as well as strawberry notes as it warms up....a 12 year old premier cru, just beginning to loosen up....may score a 93 in a few years....great company with Salmon Wellington .

October 30, 2020 - Decanted an hours before the dinner. Typical Pommard representative, dark fruited, earthy notes, concentrated, good acidity and smooth tannin, long finish. In a nice spot now and can go on for additional 6 to 8 years.
