Community Tasting Notes 9

October 2, 2022 - Pizza party (Amy and Scott's house): The nose is everything that you'd look for in a pinot noir, floral, red berries, cherry. The palate is subdued and less interesting than the nose by a fair margin.

July 19, 2021 - Decanted and drank over an hour. No signs of aging, red cherry, tart and tangy, a little cloying last glass after dinner without food.

June 17, 2021 - Browning rim and color, looking its age. Seemed a little unbalanced and harsh at first, but after an hour the aromas began to bloom and the wine softened. Secondary development doesn’t dominate but it’s certainly noticeable. After 3 hours it had evolved into something special, not unlike a good, mature Pommard or CdN.

March 15, 2021 - Has come a long way since I last tasted almost 3 years ago. Sour notes dissipated and backbone still very present. In a really nice place. Now with darker red fruit, touch of barnyard, and present but mellowed tannins. Probable will be in this secondary phase for 3-5 years.

August 18, 2018 - Bit Burgundian. Dry cherries and tannins overwhelming initially. Much better and integrated after an hour. Still has years left.
