  December 10, 2019 - Decant then Slow Ox for 1 hour. Blue fruit, forest floor, minor tannin, medium to full bodied. Better than a year ago.

  September 11, 2019 - Disappointed with how this wine is drinking. We decanted and drank over three hours. Immediately after decanting it had a heat on the nose that was almost like menthol (in feel not in scent). That heat on the nose stayed on the palate and just didn’t quite relent even as the nose gave way to more secondary and tertiary nuances which were sublime. I find the lack off integration puzzling and disappointing. Clearly a good wine, but not what I had hoped this wine would age to. moreover, somehow three tasters on CT said that this should be done with its drinking window by 2019. Absolutely idiotic. Really?

  November 30, 2018 - Decanted over an hour before serving with venison. Beautiful wine. The cigar box has sat down and cooperage has also relaxed. Now vanilla notes are more pronounced fruit is the gem here. Just beautiful. Will drink for a long time but this wine is exceptionally balanced now.
