January 18, 2014 - The push towards elegant/light wines - The start of a new direction in our wine journey? (Amara Sanctuary Resort): Tasted blind. Wonderful aromatic nose of sweet scented wood. On the palate, lots of red cherries, cranberries and raspberries. Rounded mouth-feel with some soft supple tannins towards the refreshing medium finish. Fruit-forward and hiding nothing. Lack of complexity made me guess New World Pinot Noir. Really liked the nose of this, hence the points.
