Community Tasting Notes 21

May 28, 2022 - A touch harsh at first, better with 45 minutes of air. Raspberry and forest floor on the nose. Higher pitched red fruit with good acidity and minimal tannins. Nice wine but not going to get better. 90 points

November 19, 2017 - This wasn't the wine I thought it was! This was nice but seemed to me to need a little more bottle age to show really well. On its own had some tart red cherry fruit and raspberry. Much better with food (grilled Atlantic salmon and wild and long-grain rice with herbs and roasted vegetables, cooked in chicken broth), where it picked up some earth notes and a little funk. (I thought this was the less expensive 2011 wine - oh well). I think it would pair best with roast chicken and herbs and I'd recommend storing it for 1-2 more years, before drinking. Just ok value at $22, on close-out.

May 1, 2017 - Typical Inman elegance with red cherry & raspberry fruit, moist earth, bright acidity and a medium-bodied, silky texture. Starting to show some age with a bit of tea color on the edges. There was just a hint of bitterness on the palate.

November 23, 2016 - Pnp. Noticeable heat on the nose, which blew off after about 30 min. Bright acidity and fruit considering the '09 vintage with a little earthiness. The alcohol still had a tendency to dominate the fruit, but nice lasting finish of watermelon bourbon. Color showing a little sign of rust from age, but still has another 3-5 years of age ahead of it. We enjoyed it for something with interest.

August 6, 2016 - Same wonderful notes as in the previous bottles. Bright strawberry, some spice. One more bottle left. These do get better with age.

1 - 5 of 21 More notes
