June 14, 2022 - Haven’t left a note on this wine since 2015 and now I have just one bottle left! Drunk this after an insanely amazing Harlan 1997 (98+ points) and it showed completely brilliantly. Very classic blackberry profile, clove, cassis, super well balanced and long. Such an amazing wine still a bargain if you can find any.

March 13, 2022 - Cinnamon on the nose which was so intriguing. Lovely wine drinking perfectly now. Great body, cork is in perfect condition. Blackberry and mulled spices on the pallet.

March 12, 2022 - Drinking perfectly right now and so interesting. Plenty of spice on both the nose and palate, cinnamon on the palate which matched the texture of the very fine tannins. Lovely red and black fruits almost nectar-like. Great balance and long finish.
Thank you RyanPark City for sharing this one and another example of a wine that was big enough to enjoy at altitude.

November 22, 2018 - Additional time has helped. A nice wine which is big, fruity a touch hot with alcohol, but generally balanced and enjoyable.

November 18, 2017 - Blood red. Fruit-forward nose. Cherries, currants, camphor and chocolate were the primary notes. The cherry was pronounced at first, after decanting, however it was sweet without bridging into cough syrup. This resolved and became more integrated -- and the finish lengthened. The wine started stratified but became more a mosaic as it opened. This was different than what I remember at the winery. It has evolved in an unusual way -- and that's not a bad thing.
