July 8, 2017 - The oldest wine I've ever tasted from this estate continues to offer interest, with its slightly honeyed citrus, and stony components. The fruit is taking on a sight petrol character, so I would not continue pressing your luck holding on this, if you have a bottle or two hanging around.

June 22, 2002 - The last of six bottles. Bright yellow, golden sheen; harmonious nose, waxy and grapy, touch of pear; lively, vital, well-structured, hint of tannin; the finish has reasonable length and a whiff of that life-sustaining sulphur...

September 1, 2000 - Star-bright; waxy straw yellow, green tinge; the nose is as fresh as a daisy, citrussy, spices, oak, waxy bottle-age; classic composition, lovely balance, firm core, juicy and smooth; excellent length, wax and lemon, not unlike a dry Riesling Auslese.

May 30, 1998 - Slightly deeper colour than yesterday's bottle, seems a bit more evolved; waxy, smoky, elegant and well-balanced, ripe acidity; good length.
