April 21, 2024 - Starting to fade although I still agree with my tasting notes of the past 3.5 years.
Near perfect cork easily removed. Dark burgundy color with mild oxidation and medium clarity. Consumed over two days, fruit faded quickly. I have no bottles of this vintage remaining in the cellar.

January 27, 2022 - Amazingly good !! I strongly agree with my tasting note of almost 15 months ago.
Perfect cork, easily removed. Dark burgundy color with medium clarity. Consumed over two days, remained balanced throughout. Oxygen only helped this delicious Pinot Noir, the best of Anderson Valley. Arista selected vineyard blocks that include the Swiss Clone 2A, also known as Wadenswil, as well as Dijon Clones 667 and 777. I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining in the cellar.

November 22, 2020 - Tasting extremely good right now !! The cork was nearly perfect after a decade in the bottle. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over three days. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a hint of forest floorl and a medium finish. Popped and poured, but this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft and integrated on day two and had not fallen apart by day three. Great fruit made into a very balanced Pinot Noir from Ferrington Vineyard in the Anderson Valley appellation. This Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and may have many more years of life left. I still have two more bottles of this vintage remaining; I may open one of them within 6 months or so to verify my rating.

December 22, 2016 - This wine was as close to perfect as I have had in a while. Very soft tannins with a rich mouth feel. Fruit was super balanced. Had with duck confit and there was just enough acid to balance out the super rich duck. Outstanding wine.

January 4, 2015 - Needed a bit of time in the decanter, but emerged with bright cherry fruit, nice mouth feel, and just the right amount of earthiness toward the end. Finished with a bit of lingering oak. Great with spinach ravioli in a rich pasta sauce.

4/21/2019 Fruit leaned more to the darker side this time, but otherwise a really nice transition to earthiness and oak. Very nice.

(Arista Winery Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard) Dark cherry red color; appealing, ripe cherry, ripe raspberry nose; youthful, a little tight, ripe cherry, raspberry, mineral palate with good acidity; could use 1-2 years; medium-plus finish
