January 5, 2018 - In a perfect spot. Smoothed out compared to previous, with surprising complexity in the nose. Amazing value, but this needed time.

April 21, 2016 - Substantial but structured tannins with good initial fruit, but a slightly drying finish. Could be more forthcoming at this stage. Interesting range of comments on this wine, but I find it very acceptable at this point... only concern is the finish.

March 25, 2015 - Dark ruby. Hints of rose on top of a deep, dark fruit base. Tannins are significant but fruit is dominant; drinkable but will improve over the next few years. Good Nebbiolo.

August 17, 2014 - A light, see-through red. Medium-speed legs. Nose is full of plum, but can be overpowered by the alcohol smell. After one hour decanting, medium bodied, and the mouth feel is surprisingly warm. The wine is thin, and lacks structure. Round tannin, low acidity, very dry. Alcohol taste takes primary role; not much flavors left in the mouth, except for some herbal flavors similar to that of sweet vermouth.

After two hours decanting, oak and berries come out in the nose. Not much left on the palate. Smells a heck lot more than it tastes.
