September 23, 2012 - Though not included in my last note, the spritz character mentioned by some is apparent now. Not as brisk as some GV with a bit more cream. Pale yellow with faint green. Green vegetables on the nose to go along with the light lemon. Finishes with a hint of cloying sweetness.

May 20, 2012 - Pale medium yellow. A quite nice value it seems with a soft vegetable nose that also shows a bit a vanilla cream. Celery with pepper dominates but it continues to show a faint interesting hint of sweetness. Medium finish, clearly finishing to the sweet side with the pepper being front end.

2011 Austrian Catalog, 5/1/2011 (link)(Schloss Gobelsburg Grüner Veltliner "Gobelsburger") ($18.00) My WINE OF THE VINTAGE has rather a lot of color, and sweeter-than-uaual aromas; mimosa and meadow and vetiver; it’s the best-ever bottling of this wine, ripe and focused and complex, juicy and extract-dense. Absurd quality in its class.
