February 23, 2013 - Bricked rim. Drinks well now. All flavours have blended perfectly and secondary aromaes have developed. Lots of Beaune earth (5/9/13/8)

December 10, 2012 - Weekly tasting group #055; A fully blind test. (By me @ BS): Light carmine red. In the bouquet mainly dark, but also some red forest fruits as well as some oak. On the palate the same impressions, some salty licorice. Ok acidity and bitterness. Although most tasters were not really impressed about this wine, I thought it was quite ok, but not exceptional. Ready now.

June 23, 2012 - Deep earthy ruby semi-transparent colour. Nose is sweet, slightly over-ripe rotting strawberries, fresh-peeled pomegranate, with hints of earth and damp Autumn bracken. Palate is medium acidity and redcurrant/strawberries initial attack followed by mid-palate red and black currants and with a dry tannic back end. Some reverberence and a decent finish….dominated by a damp white mushrooms final note. Gosh….after 4 hours from decanting, the final glass is showing a much deeper, deep-fruited and interesting wine. The best is yet to come…..probably in 3-5 years but possibly extending much longer.

March 23, 2012 - Light colour. Classic pinot strawberry nose. Not a very complex and long wine but nice pure red fruit. Good for drinking now.

August 26, 2011 - Dinner at Our New Home (Our Place, Hong Kong): Transparent light red colour. Nose is classic lovely woodland strawberries and damp bracken undergrowth.....and a bit pongy in a good way. Palate is fully unfolded and matured, velvety, sumptuous, with a nice understated tannic structure as a contrast......secondary trending into tertiary but with nice acidic freshness, floral, really light but with nice finesse. Not much length but this was lovely on the evening and an interesting contrast to the 1998 Joseph Drouhin Oregon, which was surprisingly more primary.

November 20, 2010 - Light transparent color. Nose: Red fruit (raspberries, cherries), earth, a little leather and barnyard action as well. Medium weight and more darker flavors of fruit on the palate as the wine evolved over the night, good acidity. Medium to long finish. I think this wine is entering its mature state and will drink beautifully over the next 5-7 years! 89+

October 31, 2010 - Quite calm and subtle on the nose. The palate had a little more character with some dark berries showing. Light mustiness or earthy tones as well. I would expect this is as goo as it will get. Time to start drinking methinks.

September 29, 2009 - Louis Jadot, 1er & Grand Cru Tasting Dinner (Chez Patrick Sun Street, Hong Kong): Translucent blood red colour. Nose of lovely mushrooms and strawberries. Palate of light but rich ripe strawberries and some tart raspberries, well balanced with refreshing acidity and good tannic structure. A light but very enjoyable summer wine.
