June 24, 2019 - Golden color. Honey, waxy nose. Plenty of oak left. Fruit is faded, but still some acidity. Drinking decently, but lacking complexity. A bit past its prime.

    December 11, 2018 - Out of a magnum, drank over 3 days.

I prefer the first and second day to the third- by that time the wine had gained a flabbiness, that may be because I did not move the wine to a progressively smaller bottle though the few days.

Aromas of cream, citrus, bruised apple, honey, and neutral oak/wood. The wine is sharp in the nose. The wine appears mature, with a pale gold color. In the mouth, the wine is medium/medium-full bodied. Lots of fruit acid here, very lemony. Flavors match the nose with great intensity. The wine starts off very sharp and aggressive, but melds towards the back of the mouth revealing a long seamless finish. Drink or hold- this seems to be hitting it's stride nicely.

June 19, 2017 - This was a lovely opportunity to taste a mature rousanne. Tasted blind, you'd think it was a mature chardonnay. Medium gold colour. Has the nose of a distinguished French Burgundy, with balanced oakiness. Rich and mature palate. I liked it lot, but the price is high!

May 11, 2017 - Clear yellow color, lovely nose filling aromas of meadow flowers, fresh butterscotch, and pears. The sip features refreshing acidity, a lively mouth feel, and a juicy lemon. The swallow bundles together everything experienced before, and the far finish is lightly dry. Overall, an impressive California Roussanne showing no signs of declining at 7 years old, that could arm wrestle down many of the French ones.

February 14, 2017 - Ap: Deep green gold in color

Ar: Aromas of honey, apricot, vanilla, and citrus

T: Stone like minerality, the wine is bright and the acid gives it a crunchy feel in the mouth and on the tongue. Flavors of stone fruits, green melon- almost cucumber in it's juiciness- the wine is very clean with a green, slightly herbal finish.

Overall, I like the wine- I like others better, but this was really nice.
