May 22, 2013 - Garnet with medium viscosity in the glass. Brambly red fruit, wet asphalt, pepper, herbs and a touch of nail polish on the nose. Medium body with present cranberry, raspberry, bramble and spice. Secondary minerals, mint and strawberry. Touch of crème fraîche. Sturdy structure. Soft, chalky texture. Medium finish. Interesting and enjoyable wine.
April 21, 2013 - Agree with previous posts. Opened 6 bottles of various types and this was a croud pleaser. Fruity + and tart - mostly drunk on its' own.
April 10, 2013 - Had this over a couple days and enjoyed it quite a bit. A blend of 5-6 grapes with petite verdot having the largest share and giving the wine a tanginess. Don't think it was particularly complex but at least the one dimension was juicy and fun.
April 25, 2012 - Pre-Hospice du Rhone 2012; 4/25/2012-4/27/2012 (Paso Robles, CA): 15% ABV. A bit herbal on the nose with some cedar nuances. Ripe and quite sweet on the palate. Perhaps some RS?
July 7, 2011 - Good collection of blackberry and raspberry fruit that is enjoyed both on the nose and in the mouth. Moderate tannins make it approachable now. There is a tartness to this wine that makes me believe the best is yet to come.
June 29, 2011 - Blueberry fruit, sweet and jammy, brown sugar and stone with a pleasantly gamy finish. Interesting and exotic. Mellow tannin and acid, perfect for opening and drinking now with no fuss.
