October 13, 2014 - Some subtle tertiary aromas developing on top of the rich blueberry and spice notes. Some pepper. Some licorice. On the palate: nice acidity and structure- fine grain well integrated tannin. Very balanced wine- did not notice that the % alc. was all the way up to 14.9. Would definetly buy again.

November 24, 2013 - 2013 San Francisco Vintners Festival (Fort Mason): magenta, red, in color. blueberry, caramel, earth, floral, sweet, on the nose. blueberry, chocolate, spice, pepper, salt, toast, on the palate. high acid, medium tannins, on the finish.
