Community Tasting Notes 6

March 19, 2021 - Tasted like a potentially slightly cooked bottle at first, but that blew off after an hour. Drinking well with air. Mature, rich, with ripe fruit, and a bit of raisin flavor coming through.

I only drank half of the bottle and put it back in the fridge. This is better on day 2, increasing my score to 94 to reflect how good it is now.

March 19, 2016 - Very dark in color. Bright flavor profile due to high acidity. Clearly a food wine.

February 24, 2015 - Intensely fruity, expressive, juicy porcini, saturated nose. Somewhat thick, tannins ready, but still one can feel them. There's some carrot note in it as well, plus some cedar and a hint of oak. Excellent, serious.

August 2, 2014 - Very dark, partially raisinated profile, somewhat reticent fruit, medium-plus acid, high tannin (edges a bit rough on the palate); drank like a Barolo; we expected more from this wine - perhaps we opened it too early

    November 28, 2013 - Corked!
