September 17, 2018 - Dark blood red. Smoky meat, black tea, chocolate on the nose. Ripe black cherry, mineral, moderate tannins, and tart finish. Probably in its prime, in no way old.

November 6, 2013 - Wow in a bottle. This wine has been one of my best investments. I can't believe how good its still showing. Definitely at the end of its evolution. Rich, deep, dark berries, smoky, vanilla, cedar, dried rose petals. On par with a good Barolo at this age. Drink up and revel in the pleasure. Tastes like twice the price.
