May 29, 2022 - This is a beast. A bit over the top. Not sure why so many reviews say "smooth tannins" because the tannins here are anything but. In fact while this is a lovely wine I'd say the tannins are on the harsh side (unusual for a Paso cab). But LOTS going on, plenty to like about this wine. Just make sure you pair it with something pretty damn substantial.

August 15, 2020 - Clear, inky purple core with a Ruby rim and stains the glass. Clean medium intense aromas of black fruits primarily blackcurrant. Dry, medium acid, medium + soft tannins with high alcohol and full bodied. Pronounced cassis on the palate, notes of licorice and silky texture which cloaks the mouth and a long finish. Drink now or hold.

May 19, 2020 - Ripe, bold Cali cab. There is some structure and freshness here though. Definitely wine gets a bit heady after a glass+. Suits the first grilled ribeye of the spring/summer.

July 25, 2018 - My only bottle of this beauty. Drank with grilled tenderloin. Dark fruit, earth, licorice. Delicious. Drink or hold.

February 16, 2018 - For years, this wine has been very tight and overly tannic. Then it opened up and shone. Now, 10 minutes after opening, tannins are almost all that is left. Fruit is diminished, acid OK. Should have drunk it 4 years ago. Will finish bottle to see what it does after a few hours in air.

(L'Aventure Cabernet Sauvignon Estate) Very dark red violet color; lovely, ripe cassis, wild berry, lifted nose; tight, ripe cassis, berry palate; needs 3 years; medium-plus finish
