July 9, 2011 - Deep ruby color ~ On the nose up front there's leather & tar paper followed by black cherry & plum, green pepper & a hint of vanilla ~ On the palate this wine is full bodied with moderate acid & moderate to high tannin & the wine does come off as slightly hot, with flavours of casis, cranberry & oak ~ The fruit is hidden behind the alcohol & tannin in this wine but overall this is great value
