Community Tasting Notes 10

March 14, 2014 - Light garnet color. Earthy tones. Light on the tannin. A little light for a cold weather wine (I should have known) but I might be willing of I try it again when the weather is a bit warmer.

January 24, 2014 - light garnet color suggests beaune -- nose of ripe small strawberries, and on the palate juicy strawberry fruit, light body, light (med-) acidity, light (med-) tannins .... overall a light structure in this fruit-led wine. Alcohol 13.5 Some finesse but a bit raspy and youthful. Length medium.

January 23, 2014 - A little barnyard action and some candy on the nose, the candy transfers in the mouth with this light bodied wine. Low acidity and very friendly tannins doesn't help much to this simple, one dimensional effort.

March 11, 2013 - Agree with previous notes. Translucent light cranberry color; raspberry, alcohol and strong earth nose; light body with palate of red fruit, earth, graphite and black pepper with mild acid, short finish and soft tannins. Did the job with pork loin with Dijon, honey and apple cider vinegar. Not bad. Daughter on spring break approved.

September 25, 2012 - Thin, cranberry color. Lots of brett--soil, hair, and funk upon opening. This seemed to dissipate after a few minutes. Decent acidic balance with a shortish finish. Not something I would actively seek out, but definitely not bad.
