  Second bottle from a 3-bottle purchase. If I weren't aware of the label and knew that it was a Brunello, I would have guessed it was a middle-of-the-road producer from 2007 - 2011. There was nothing off. Tasted over two days because I wasn't sure if it was the environment or lack of decant.
  
  Color was ruby with a darker core. Nose was underwhelming after a PnP. Second day was a bit better with some dried fruit and dried fruit. Palate was full of fresh Bing cherries; however, it was the acid that kind of overwhelms the sweet fruit and any other flavors. A bit disappointing when you consider the price.

  March 19, 2023 - Absolutely, positively incredible. Wine of the Year so far. Purchased directly from Biondi Santi “La Storica”. It took about 30min to an hour to open up, but this was just so complex and intoxicating. Tobacco, cassis, red fruit, chalk, and spice. This is truly magical, and very happy to have one more bottle left. Paired wonderfully with ribeye cooked on the big green egg and some homemade rigatoni vodka with guanciale. If you have the opportunity to try this I highly highly recommend it.

  November 11, 2022 - Grand vin. Two bottles opened, second one very lively with vibrant fruit, spicy, plenty of herbs and red berries, very deep, complex.

  July 15, 2019 - Biondi-Santi Riserva wine dinner (Taberna, Bukit Merah): Utterly and tragically corked. Pity - this had a lovely, silkily elegant fee to it. Unfortunately flavours were very much scalped by the TCA, and presented with a very cardboardy ring.

  January 20, 2019 - First of 3 that was purchased last year at K&L. PnP. It was initially closed and thin on the palate. After a couple of hours, it started to pick up weight and complexity. More dried cherries and rose petals on the nose. Velvety texture with dark fruit, a bit of licorice, and nice acidity to keep it fresh. Tannins still need to be resolved. Perhaps wait another 5 years.
