January 27, 2014 - nose: black fruit, baking spices, french oak, bell pepper. actually, it reminds me a lot of stetson black cologne. a. lot. with maybe some dirt thrown in
palate: ripe, sweet, tannic, earthy. blueberry, plum, meat, with some charcoal filling out the mouth. finish is very long, tarry and drying and very nice with licorice and blueberry skin.

July 15, 2011 - Very enjoyable, easy drinking Cab... I got some charcoal and something a bit earthy (that I just couldn't identify) on the nose. Hit with a cola, or almost Dr. Pepper, flavor right off the bat, with a light red pepper on the finish. Wine opened up a lot after about an hour or so. I paired it with a "fancy" meatloaf (not your mom's recipe) and it went perfect with it, as it's not quite strong enough to be a steak wine for me.
