Community Tasting Notes 1

January 25, 2011 - Tasted at the very festive outdoor tasting bar in the front yard of a house just one building off the square in Sonoma. These people know how to party. The atmosphere, facility, and staff are very uplifting The very good wines only add to the fun. This wine had only been released a few weeks before my visit. To me this a prototypical Carneros Pinot Noir. There is that tart, sharp, and spicy flavor and aroma profile from lips to finish. It is really asking you to nibble on some food while tasting. This is one of those wines not at all dark in color, that makes you wonder where all that flavor comes from. The cherry fruit is accompanied by several of the darker fruits. Not all that tanic. Medium bodied. Typically sharp Pinot finish, with only a hint of vanilla.
