May 17, 2017 - Rated for potential, not current pleasure. It's hard, unforgiving, tannic. Good underlying fruit but currently inaccessible...prob for 3-5 years . Hold.

June 26, 2016 - An easy afternoon with close friends (@ FD): In the bouquet dark forest fruits, cigar box, beautiful oak and graphite. On the palate ripe dark berries, beautiful acidity and round but sticky tannin. Overall a full bodied and youthful wine with complexity and finesse. Good length. I would like to taste this again around 2022.

September 18, 2015 - Mini-Bordeaux 9's & 10's (Vintage Cellars, Double Bay): Slightly dusty glass doesn't completely hide perfumed notes, chocolate, plum, vanilla and some juicy blackcurrant…cream and sweet spice here as well. In the mouth the wine is juicy with a slightly cheesy note that joins surprisingly subdued fruit with talc textured silky tannins. Quite broad with alcohol warmth encroaching on the finish. the nose is nicer than the palate.
