  February 18, 2017 - From magnum. WOTN the night for me in a line up of very serious competition. Really just everything I want from a well made Napa cab. It was rich but perfectly in balance with an incredibly long finish. Black and red fruits nicely playing with the smooth tannins and acidity, forest floor, leather and spice. Lots of depth, complexity and layers upon layers of flavor. WOWZA!!

  February 18, 2017 - Tampa Spring Break (the second); 2/17/2017-2/19/2017 (Various spots (homes, Mis en Place, Capital Grille)): One of the best wines of the night. This has aged better than I think some of the TRB ones do. Very classic Napa but with a nice balance and great fruit and more earth tones. Very enjoyable.

  January 2, 2017 - soft cork
  opened with decant and minimal aeration
  consumed at new years eave dinner with duck confit app and filets as main
  notes not detailed as dinner was early and the night was long but
  beautiful delicate red and blue fruit nose with no hint of any port or prune or vegetal character. somewhat medium in body but what a delicious finish and tannins so very fine. wine of the night fairly unanimously amoungst winos and newbies as well.

  May 9, 2013 - Decanted for about 3 hours; amazing nose, plums dominated for me; very integrated, smooth, rich, deep, dark dark fruits, chocolate; not as long a finish as I anticipated from other reviews but certainly medium-long

  July 18, 2012 - Goodbye Dinner for Gabriel's Restaurant (Gabriel's - Highwood IL): Intense cassis, black currant and plum aromas with lots of new oak. Similar fruit on palate, ultra concentrated and dense, in an unmistakably Napa style. Very good balance.
