  September 13, 2014 - Good call on the root beer and soy sauce by a previous taster. Also getting a mix of red and purple berries, some earthiness, white pepper, and oak. Dark fruit and spice flavors come through on the palate with old, worn leather, and fresh cigar. The tannin is slightly dominating but it's drinking reasonably enough to enjoy, especially with any beef dish.

  May 14, 2012 - Complex aroma - smoky, spicy, earthy. But there is a lot of fruit in the palate - plums - so it has a pretty dark profile. Balanced finish - mineral structure and tannins both present.
