September 15, 2023 - One hour decant . Rich grippy dark strong and powerful. Not very charming but solid and enjoyable. Didn’t budge over 3 hours. Not distinctive as to terroir. Long life. Will Hold remaining 6 revisit 2-3 years.

September 7, 2023 - I love that Thomas Duroux doesn’t treat this as a 2nd wine that lurks in the shadow of the grand vin, as there are no declassified grapes, no super young vines, and the soil has it’s own character (more sandy than gravel & clay). It shows in the final product as this wine is starting to emerge into its drinking window…excellent depth, balance and structure, with some spice. I imagine it can improve and will have a long life. I prefer this over “average” vintages of the grand vin
