Community Tasting Notes 7

September 11, 2012 - Light Rose red, showing nose of red fruits, straw berry and little hints of rose petal. Light and very easy on the palate, with cherry, red fruits, rose petal and spice, slightly off-dry, but a little flabby as the acidity wasn't there to support. End with short and clean finish, a rather mediocre Rosé, cheap but definitely not a wine that I would buy again.

August 6, 2012 - Deep coloured rosé with exuberant sweet fruit. I would never have guessed it was syrah but this is a smooth and very convincing dry wine; good with and without food.

May 26, 2012 - Not as delicious as past vintages. Fairly dark rose, with an absolutely beautiful nose of red fruits. On the palate, flirty red fruits came up front, with a bit of a chemical/petrol taste in the background - or at least - something that wasn't particularly pleasant. I wouldn't buy it again.

December 24, 2011 - No notes but a soldier, pure Montes. It took everything we threw at it over Xmas Eve dinner: shrimp, soy sauce, hot peppers, mango, etc. Dryish with a strawberry blossom. A good go-to rose.

December 11, 2011 - Nice electric pink in glass. Lots of cherry/strawberry...carries into palate with some nice acid and balanced level of sugar. Finish is medium length and tasty. Light and cheery! Great for holidays.
