January 1, 2018 - This pinot is aging beautifully! Dark ruby color. The nose is lush with dark red fruit and some warm spices. The first sip is a bit sweet followed by dark red cherries, plums, pepper and mild vanilla - we just love Halleck wines. Had this with our New Year's Day dinner of confit turkey legs with traditional black eye peas and chard.

November 28, 2012 - Nice nose of dark fruit. Light body, moderate balanced tannins with moderate finish of blackberry, smoke, tobacco. This wine is HOT - 14.9% ETOH! It would be so much better with lower alcohol. So much alcohol it burns your nose.

March 10, 2012 - This is a darker style pinot with red and blackberry aromas along with cherry, kirsch, cinnamon and clove. Nice flavors of Bing cherry, black pepper and a nice earthiness. Silky tannins and a subtle oak influence. Lots of smoked herbs and spices with a pleasant minerality. Great structure and balance. Really nice.
