December 27, 2012 - Liquorice and dark deep fruit mostly plum.
The taste is very long with a very nice balance. -

May 27, 2012 - This is a big wine. Lots of fruit and spice and tannins. This was good, but tannins are still big and could definitely stand up to a few more years in the cellar. I will certainly wait to open the magnum. I get a lot going on in the nose, smoky, berries, earthy spices. On the palate, the tannins jump out first, but followed nicely by red fruits, esp cherries and plums and some smoke with a lasting finish.
