  December 7, 2014 - Decanted two hours and drank with homemade chicken pot pie. Enjoyable wine, but I felt there were no tannins left and just too soft. Enjoyed the '09 much more a few weeks before in California. Perhaps it's past its prime, decanted too long or I drank it to soon after flying back to England nine days prior.

  April 12, 2014 - Medium to light in color. Opens up after decanting. Earthy/leather flavors dominate initially but mellows out and more berry flavors come through as the wine opens up in the glass. Medium to light bodied with a nice finish.

  December 14, 2013 - Gorgeous mouthful of wine! Great color, body, and mouthfeel. Aromas of dark berries, pepper, hints of violet, and earth. In the mouth it is nicely extracted with dark plum and ripe blueberry notes followed by slight bell pepper hint. Nice balance of oak and fruit. Good backbone with hearty tannins. Long finish. Not for the feint of heart or palate, but this is a yummy one.
