December 23, 2011 - Fruity with notes of black cherry and plum with pepper throughout. Medium body with little backbone, but typical of a Zweigelt in that it is not a wow wine but is very food friendly.

May 2, 2011 - Austria Uncorked (SLS Hotel, Beverly Hills, CA): Dirty, soily, peppery and juicy. Again, another wine driven by secondary characters and probably in need of those settling a bit.

(Glatzer Zweigelt "Riedencuvée") ($20.00) Total sweetheart aromas, almost lulling; a beaming fruit. The palate begins by seeming light but firms, concentrates and sweetens dramatically, into the kinds of blackberries that leap from the bush into your hand as you reach for them. The “+” isn’t for power or strength but for the wolf-spit deliciousness, the cherry tobacco finish, the gorgeous modesty.
