March 25, 2024 - Terrific, base 12+13, dg 16. From memory the thing that stuck out the most were riper stone fruit notes (apricot?), definitely not austere and benefitted from the little bit of aging. First bottle from this producer so I'm not sure how it's tracked over the years, but it was a lot of fun and well worth drinking now.

December 1, 2023 - There were no formal notes, as this was consumed casually with family over the holiday. It's always consistently good and among my favorite champagnes at this price point. Drink now or hold for years to come.

July 4, 2022 - Mid-day aperitivo by the pool. Palest gold bordering on straw. Nice yeasty nose of green apple and old sourdough pastries. Bubbles were fine and vibrant. On the palate there was a nice crisp acidity, with sour green apple coming through. It wasn't a candy-esc green apple, more like an actual granny smith apple. Some bready notes as well, but not much given the fairly short time on the lees (3-4 years I believe). This wasn't too complex, and was nice to sip on, however it was best right out of the fridge to keep it sharp. My first 100% Meunier, and while cool and interesting, not really something that wowed me out of the gate. Curious to try some of the Prevost stuff though.

December 25, 2021 - Color/App: straw yellow with relatively larger bead than I prefer. Agree with FMIII that this style might not be for everyone; a bit too much nervosity for my taste but still pretty damn nice. Lime, green apple, chalky with a touch of honey. Lean and racy -- I guess more Barsac than Sauternes -- to use my own analogy wheelhouse.

October 15, 2021 - Based on the ‘12 and ‘13 vintages disgorged in Feb 2016. Opens with a hint of meunier funk, but also apple and dried yeast. Crisp and focused, with tart apple, biscuit and citrus flavors. Excellent.
